We are excited to welcome our first international visiting fellow from Brazil, Olivia Souza! Olivia is a PhD candidate at the Universidade Federal de São Paulo (UNIFESP) in Brazil and is joining us to study the molecular mechanisms of human B-cell development in early life versus adulthood. She has experience in mouse B-1 cell progenitors, flow cytometry, cell cultures, and molecular biology techniques. She is interested in B-cell development and its relation to hematological diseases. In her free time, she likes to read fantasy books, watch TV shows, and spend time with her family.
